With the Success of the Charter fishing company growing in both reputation and booking request over many years. Scott, known as a ‘Hard Charging’ charter boat operator seen the need for expanding the fleet was evident. “As a owner operator of the charter boats myself, it is always of paramount consideration when trying to emulate what you and your company stand for, into other captains. There is no “That will do” choices to be made in the charter captain selection.  Having experience in the local area, PRIDE in what you do, and showing service and effort that is 1st nature, and 1st priority while remembering the FUN is in the fishing.  It is about the trip, the people your with, and having personality to share in the fun and adventure at hand with every NEW day, and every new group. The Captains working for Yakutat Charters are all experienced in the Yakutat area, All have  Commercial fishing experience as well and All have been in the sport fishing industry prior to being a part of Yakutat Charters. How Do You Get To Yakutat

With 2 daily commercial airplanes a day many of our clients EASILY come here also to fish the famous Situk (see-tuk) River, known worldwide for our famous Steelhead,King Salmon, Sockeye, Pink, and Silver salmon runs being both the busiest time of the year and latest run in the state. This association allows for the best of both ocean and river fishing in one destination, allowing a full week to be filled with fishing adventures of all kinds!
